H2M Labs has been providing potable water analysis to public water supply clients since our founding in 1957. Analysis is in compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) enacted to protect the national drinking water supply. The law was amended in 1986 to include, among other things, legislation put forth by one of the H2M namesakes, Norman E. Murrell, banning the use of lead pipes and lead solder in new potable water systems.
We have a long-standing history of experience and quality. H2M Labs was the first laboratory in New York State to be approved for Volatile Organics testing and today is the largest potable water laboratory in the State, with instrumentation dedicated to the analysis of potable water samples.
The suite of analyses available includes:
H2M Labs takes an active role in the training and education of our clients as well as other local labs. The lab conducts training for our clients on basic laboratory skills and the fundamentals of chemistry. We conduct seminars for other labs on ethics and how to conduct a technical audit. H2M Labs is active in the Long Island Water Conference and helps to review and test new methods.
Our Project Management team keeps abreast of new regulations and requirements to better serve our clients.
