(Melville, NY) - Joann M. Slavin, H2M Lab, Inc. will be presenting a lecture titled, "Did You Know: Right to Know," at the NYAAEL conference in Syracuse, NY. This presentation discusses the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. The Standard is designed to protect employees that use hazardous materials on the job. The means of communicating this information will be discussed.
Founded in 1979, NYAAEL is a non-profit association of NYS Department of Health approved environmental laboratories and related industry representatives. NYAAEL has many activities and services that benefit both members and the environmental community. The New York Association of Approved Environmental Laboratories (NYAAEL) is a non-profit organization of the New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) approved laboratories and related industry representatives which takes a leadership role in promoting the advancement of environmental laboratories.
The conference will take place on March 18, 2008, at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel, 801 University Avenue, Syracuse, NY. Joann M. Slavin is the Senior Vice President, and Laboratory Manager for H2M Labs. She received both an M.S. and B.S. degree in Toxicology from St. John's University, and is currently a member and Board Director of the New York Association of Approved Environmental Laboratories.
