H2M Labs, Inc. is actively involved in the testing of environmental samples from former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) sites. The main analytical concerns at MGP sites are Volatile and Semi-Volatile Organic compounds. BTEX is anaylzed in the Volatile range, while a list of 17 Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) is analyzed in the Semi-Volatile range. Many investigations are performed in compliance with local, state, or federal regulations and therefore a more comprehensive list of compounds is analyzed.
Much of the MGP analysis H2M performs is in accordance with the analytical and reporting requirements of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Analytical Services Protocol (ASP) Category B. This protocol requires strict adherence to quality control and quality assurance objectives.
Our project managers understand the needs of utility and MGP sites concerning sampling techniques, regulatory requirements, data validation and usability standards. Each client is assigned an experienced project manager who ensures your project requirements, reporting formats, timetables and special service needs have been clearly defined and communicated.
